Summary |
An intergenerational print project in 2019 involving participants in Paediatrics and Care for the Elderly contexts at Galway University Hospitals and staff from the wider hospital community. Inspired by the exchange of tacit knowledge between generations the project celebrated human connections in the clinical context and explored how experiences and knowledge can be shared from a distance.

Summary |
As the inaugural Visual Artist in Residence at Portiuncula University Hospital, printmaker Aoife Barrett engaged the hospital community in diverse printmaking techniques over a 5 month period. Working across all ages and a variety of contexts, the residency allowed the artist to hone mobile printing techniques and public engagement skills towards developing her emerging Arts and Health practice.
