Artist in Schools programme |  by: |  Aoife Barrett & transition year students at Coláiste Ghobnait, Inis Oirr | supported by: |  Galway County Council

Year | 2019 |

Summary |

For this project we traded our wheels in for wings and flew to Inis Oirr to work with transition year students at Coláiste Ghobnait. Over the course of two days the students engaged in a D.I.Y. printmaking workshop, learning low-tech printmaking techniques. Throughout the two days the students used hand-cut stencil screen-printing, rubber stamps, foam printing and roller printing to create their very own hand-printed posters, banners and leaflets.  This project was funded by Galway County Council as part of their Artist in Schools programme.
